Faith Tabernacle was established in May of 1984 by Rev. Steve McMullen, along with his wife Sis. Geraldine McMullen and their two daughters, Rebecca and Rachael.  The first services were held in Mauriceville, TX in an old tire shop on the corner of Highway 12 and Highway 62.  The present building was built in 1985, and expanded in 1990.  Bro. McMullen led the church through 7 years of growth and revival.

Bishop Phillips assumed the Pastorate of Faith Tabernacle in September 1991 along with his wife Sis. Connie Phillips, and their two daughters, Michelle and Angela.  For 31 years, Bishop Phillips preached and instilled the principles of God's word into the hearts of the saints of Faith Tabernacle.  During his tenure, the church underwent two major remodels, including a complete layout change of the sanctuary and office space, with added Sunday School rooms and church offices.  Bishop Phillips still calls Faith Tabernacle home, while preaching out and blessing congregations all across the country.  With over 54 years of ministry experience, his ministry is sought out far and wide.

Pastor Joseph Gibson assumed the Pastorate of Faith Tabernacle in December 2022.  Bro. Gibson has attended Faith Tabernacle since its inception in 1984.  He has served in various capacities at the church for over 25 years, the last 9 of those being in an associate minister role, assisting Bishop Phillips.  Bro. Gibson is married to Angela, Bishop Phillips' youngest daughter, and they have two beautiful daughters, Emma and Lily.  Bro. Gibson and his family look forward to the future and what God has in store for Faith Tabernacle!  Won't you be a part of that?
